What is a Business Associate Agreement?
A BAA is a contract required under HIPAA when a service provider handles protected health information (PHI) on behalf of a covered entity. If you're uploading medical records to MedLegal AI, a BAA ensures both parties are legally accountable for how that data is stored, processed, and protected. We provide a signed BAA to any customer who will process PHI — request it before you upload anything, no subscription required first.
