Headline features
Live Spanish → English translation in Courtroom AI
Pick "Spanish" in the witness language dropdown and Courtroom AI runs Deepgram with Spanish recognition, then Claude Haiku to translate each segment to English in real time. Both languages render in the transcript stacked — Spanish above, English below — with a confidence chip per segment. Confidence below 70% prints "VERIFY WITH HUMAN INTERPRETER" in the export. Cost: ~$0.0006 per minute of testimony, separate cost meter in the status bar.
Built for cases where the witness testifies in Spanish but the attorney works in English. The Spanish original is preserved as a footnote in every export and memo so a court reporter can verify against the audio later.
Multi-attorney collaboration on a live deposition
Co-counsel can now join the same Courtroom AI session from a different machine. The lead attorney generates an invite link, co-counsel clicks it, both see the same live transcript and Daubert analysis. Each attorney has a private notes panel that's only visible to them. Auto-pause kicks in if everyone disconnects for 60 minutes (handled the lunch-break case where a session would otherwise idle out).
Pause / resume — for the long depositions
Six-hour deposition with a lunch break? Hit pause, walk away, come back, hit resume. The session re-attaches to the existing transcript without re-uploading. Paused sessions show in a picker dropdown so you can pick up exactly where you left off.
Practice Mode
Three sample depositions you can play through to see how Courtroom AI behaves before risking a real witness. Pick a specialty (orthopedics, neurology, cardiology), hit start, and the transcript streams in as if a witness were testifying. Use it to train co-counsel or test your watch-phrase config.
Public API + developer docs
Five v1 endpoints for programmatic access (witness research, Daubert analysis, lien calculation, damages prediction, demand letter draft). API keys in /settings/api-keys. Full OpenAPI spec at /v1/openapi.json. Quickstart, scopes, and rate-limit docs at /developers. Plaintiff-side firms building internal tooling can now hit MedLegal AI directly instead of scraping the web UI.
Smaller features
- Slack/email keyword alerts: set watch phrases per case, get pinged the moment a witness says them in a live depo
- Pre-load case files: drag-drop PDFs (medical records, prior depositions, complaint) into a Courtroom AI session before the witness speaks. The Daubert analysis uses them as context.
- Watch phrases panel: visual list of phrases you're flagging, with a count of hits as the depo runs
- Firm branding: upload a logo, set primary/secondary brand colors, and every PDF export (memos, demand letters, expert reports) ships with your firm's letterhead
- Demo share links: send a prospective client a public URL of a real Daubert workup before they sign up — slug-allowlisted, watermarked, no auth required
What's coming next
Tuesday Apr 28: outbound campaign to 233 verified plaintiff firms (no current users — we held off on outreach during warmup).
